Valley Community Development has 200 affordable homes in its pipeline. These include a wide variety of housing types, from single-person studio rentals to first-time homeownership condos. Development sizes range from 20 to 60 units. Locations in Northampton, Amherst, and Hadley are in planning.
Affordable Housing Rental Locations
We have developed a variety of rental apartments in Northampton, from single-room occupancy to family housing.
Parsons Village: 71 Parsons Street, Easthampton.
38 family rental apartments. These townhouse-style apartments have highly energy efficient features. There are studio, one, two and three-bedroom apartments located around a common green with a community building with laundry facilities and a playground. There are two wheelchair accessible apartments. Ample parking on site. Way Finders is the property manager.
Valley Main Street Apartments | 683-687 Main Street, Amherst
Consists of 11 affordable family rental apartments including one, two and three-bedrooms. There is one two-bedroom wheelchair accessible apartment. No laundry facilities on site. On-site parking.
Homes for Low-Income First-Time Homebuyers
Since 1988, Valley has acquired, rehabbed, and sold nearly a dozen homes to low-income first-time homebuyers.
These homes are located in Amherst, Easthampton, Northampton, and Florence.
We do not currently have any single-family homes in development.
