How does affordable housing work?
Affordable housing programs are designed to provide housing options for low-income families and individuals. These programs help reduce the burden of high rents by offering subsidized housing or homes with lower-than-market rents. Valley is committed to creating affordable housing developments that empower residents and contribute to community revitalization.
What does affordable housing mean?

What is considered affordable housing?
Affordable housing can include a range of options such as rental apartments, single-family homes, and supportive housing. It is defined by the income levels of the residents and the cost of the housing, with specific criteria established by various local, state, and federal programs. At Valley, our affordable housing developments prioritize access for low-income individuals and families.
Why is affordable housing important?
Affordable housing is essential for building sustainable communities. It enables low-income families and individuals to have stable living conditions, fosters economic growth, and reduces homelessness.
How do I apply for affordable housing in MA at Valley’s properties?
Most of our properties have waitlists. You are welcome to apply to get on the waitlist, but please keep your eyes open for other opportunities and housing lotteries, as they are often the best way to get into affordable housing.
