Where Did the Money Go?

The focus of this workshop is to help business owners gain a better understanding of their cash flow. Simply put, cash flow is the flow of cash in and out of your business. Eyad Salha, Valley’s Small Business Advisor, will go through the various types of expenses that impact your cash flow to help you plan, budget, price, and organize your business.

As a follow-up to this workshop, we encourage you to attend the “Is the price right?” workshop in February as it will connect more of the financial dots within your business.

This workshop is open to startups and established businesses.

Funding Enhancements on a Shoestring

Funding Enhancements on a Shoestring

This course will provide an overview of available funding sources to offset for-profit business expenses. Participants will receive education about researching and identifying alternative sources of funding to augment commonly used state and federal support. They will also be given guidance on drafting compelling, timely, and highly impactful proposals worthy of winning support from a variety of alternative funders, including private foundations, charitable institutions, and others.

Presented by Dr. Jennifer Higgins with Valley Community Development.

Dr. Higgins manages a small, nimble, and highly skilled team of grant writers while simultaneously identifying cutting-edge grant funding opportunities designed to be aligned with the mission and needs of the thriving agency, Center for Human Development. In addition, Dr. Higgins provides consulting and grant-writing services to both for-profits and nonprofits across the Commonwealth. She holds a Ph.D. in Gerontology from the University of Massachusetts and an MBA from Springfield College.
